What a fun and egg-citing day in Ms. Napier’s 2nd Grade! 🥚🔬 For their Science Fair project, students tested different materials to determine which would best protect an egg inside a plastic container. We put our designs to the test by dropping them from 3 feet, 6 feet, and finally from the second-story railing this morning! Students used the engineering design process to make predictions, problem-solve, and analyze results while having a great time. It was definitely an egg-citing experience for everyone involved! 🎉🥚 #RosewoodMagnet #ScienceFair #STEMLearning #FutureEngineers #EggCitingScience

Fall Festival Weather Update 🍂 The PTA is watching the weather closely as we get ready for our Fall Festival! We do have a backup plan in place in case of rain. If needed, the event will be moved indoors and everything will still go on as planned. We hope to still see all of our RMS families there, rain or shine! No matter how the weather plays out, the show must go on! We’re looking forward to a fun afternoon together!

Ms. Monroe’s kindergarten class is preparing for an upcoming science fair project focused on shadows. Students investigated how shadows can be made and changed by experimenting with light sources and objects. Using a shadow box, they retold the story Chicken Little, exploring how moving objects closer to or farther from the light affected the size and shape of the shadows. This hands-on activity strengthened their understanding of light and shadows while reinforcing important literacy skills through storytelling.

Kindergarten CKLA Knowledge: Five Senses Celebration! 👃👀👂👅✋ Our kindergarten students wrapped up their CKLA Knowledge unit on the Five Senses with hands-on activities that brought learning to life! 🌈 Using their sense of smell, students created colorful scented rainbows. ⠿ They learned about how people who are visually impaired read by making their names in Braille. 🍿 Students also used all five senses to explore popcorn—observing how it looked, listening to it pop, feeling its texture, smelling its aroma, and even tasting it! What a fun and engaging way to celebrate all they learned while exploring how our senses help us understand the world around us. ❤️🎉#RosewoodMagnet #CKLA #FiveSenses #HandsOnLearning #KindergartenFun
